A native of Los Angeles, George wears many hats in the entertainment world. In 1980, he Associate Produced the first-ever, Narrative film in IMAX, MY STRANGE UNCLE and continued as Associate Producer and Post Production Supervisor on TV Movies including; DIXIE CHANGING HABITS, THE VEGAS STRIP WARS, TERRORIST ON TRIAL, and INHERIT THE WIND. As Production Manager, he built a visual effects division for Cannon Films and supervised VFX for RUNAWAY TRAIN, THE GENIE, and INVADERS FROM MARS. In 1990, he line-produced the ABC primetime, docudrama, CHALLENGER, about the ill-fated space shuttle. From 1991-1996, he presided as Post Production Executive for Witt Thomas Harris Productions on over 500 sitcom episodes including: GOLDEN GIRLS, EMPTY NEST, BLOSSOM, HERMAN’S HEAD, NURSES, MUSCLE, BROTHERLY LOVE, MY GUYS, DADY’S GIRLS, LOCAL HEROES, BARCLAY’S BEAT and THE OFFICE. In 1998, Pacific Ocean Post brought him in as Business Development Executive and Producer of Long-form Audio, and Virtual Set Production, including Disney’s ONE SATURDAY MORNING. He was then recruited by Point 360 as In-House Producer at Woodholly. Next, he joined Wendi Cooper to expand and help run her company, C Spot Run Productions while producing multiple infomercials. As a music major, he was educated at Santa Monica College and the University of Colorado at Boulder. In the late 70’s and early 80’s he recorded and toured with THE GROUP WITH NO NAME on Casablanca Records, FRESH on Motown Records and Shaun Cassidy on Curb Records. He has been composer on 10 prime time sitcom series including: HERMAN’S HEAD, ALL AMERICAN GIRL, WOOPS, DADDY’S GIRLS, BROTHERLY LOVE, THE OFFICE, LOCAL HEROES, and BARCLAY’S BEAT. George has been a music engineer and producer since 1980 in his recording studio, PRIVATE RECORDS and continues to foster his natural gift playing the saxophone. Currently, George manages his mother’s career (Cloris Leachman), produces her ONE WOMAN SHOW and continues to apply his skills, talents and experience in film, television, music, theater and new media.
